The image of this page is a traditional local performance called Kagura. Kagura is performed to make an offering of special music and dancing to the gods, but people can enjoy it,too.
One thing all kagura have in common is the use of masks and costumes.
There are more than 20 stories performed in kagura and most of them are based on Japnese stories of the gods.
Kagura has been passed down through the generations from ancient times.
